It feels like every single person I know is away at the Peace & Love festival in Borlänge, so I left the city and took the train to the small town where my grandparents live. I'll spend my days out on a bike in the countryside or reading books. When I get back home, I will probably find a letter from Finland waiting for me!

Pictures from last year. I miss concerts and live music.

Aviary

In one week I've managed to spill ink, wine, coffee and water, all over my Moleskine (the journal was luckily not that damaged after the incident with the small bottle of black indian ink), the sofa, the floor and my legs. I never spill out stuff. Is it nervosity or something else bothering the back of my mind?

14 juni 2011

I've thought about it, and I'm giving this up for at least a couple of months. Will pop in to let you know if I get in to the school though, and then in the autumn this "journal" might take a new turn.

We'll see.

If you wish to buy me a drink or treat me for a cigarette, or just discuss an important - or less important - matter (preferably about music, british culture, books, irish men, photography or kittens - I salute you if you manage to discuss them all in one single mail) you can contact me hereherehere.

Tomorrow I'll start the day with some Baileys in the coffee and a new book. Have a great summer! ♥

Updates from the land on the other side of the gulf of Bothnia

At the moment I'm writing from our hotel room in Uusikaarlepyy. The scent of summer is slipping through the window and the TV is on - it's showing football, Sweden vs. Finland. Earlier today I went to the school and did the interview and one of the assignments. I've met a lot of nice people, a pair of us sat down by the river in the sun this evening and it was just really pleasant.

I promise there will be a lot of photos when I get back - but I think I'll miss this town a bit when I get home.

Roadtrip soundtrack
I was so tired when I did this, that I wrote the wrong date. However, this is the road trip soundtrack list for our five hour drive tomorrow. I'm not sure the list is a full five hours though, but I'll bring some records too. The photo is from our road trip to Öland two years ago.

We drove down and paid my grandparents a visit over the evening, had a nice dinner (my nan is great, I love her and her homely cooking) and shared some time together.

Wednesday night in my kitchen, Jens Lekman's beautiful song 'Someone to share my life with'.

(I know I post alot of videos at the time, but some of them is to remind myself of the good bands I come across!)
